The competition is underway for two days in two separate sections for men and women.
The categories of the national Quranic event include Tahghigh and Tarteel recitation of the Quran, memorization, prayers recitation, Adhan (call to prayers), and Tawasheeh (religious singing).
Three of the city’s universities are hosting different categories and sections of the contest.
Students from universities across the country are attending the event to showcase their Quranic talents.
The closing ceremony, in which winners will be awarded, is scheduled
to be held on Saturday evening at the Quds Hall of the holy mausoleum of Imam
Reza (AS).
