TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 2017 Bauchi State Quranic Recitation competition in Nigeria's Bauchi state wrapped up at Darazo, headquarters of Darazo Local Government Area of the state.

Quran Recitation Competition Concludes in Nigeria's Bauchi State


The overall winners were turbaned during the closing ceremony at the Darazo mini-stadium by the State Acting Governor, Engr. Nuhu Gidado and the Emir of Bauchi, Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu.

While speaking, the Acting Governor, Engr. Nuhu Gidado described the recitation of the Holy Quran as a blessing from the Almighty God to the Muslims Ummah and a guide for his bounties to each and every reciter in particular and Muslims generally.

Gidado commended the participants in the competition and congratulated winners who emerged in various categories of the Quranic Recitation Competition which he said was conducted peacefully.

Over 200 Participants in various categories of the recitation competition that included 2hizb, 10 hizb, 20 hizb and 40hizb for both male and female categories, and 60 hizb with and without Tafsir won different prizes.
