TEHRAN (IQNA) – Iran’s representative in the UAE International Holy Quran competition for female memorizers will go on stage to answer questions of the panel of judges on Monday.

Zahra Sadat Hosseini, who left Tehran for Dubai on Wednesday, perfectly answered the panel’s questions in the preliminary stage on Thursday.

They asked her to read from memory verses from Surahs Nisa, Hud, Muminun, Gahfir, and Saff, and she did without any problem.

On Monday, the competition will also see the participation of contenders from Algeria, Libya, Uganda, Djibouti, Kyrgyzstan, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The second edition of Sheikha Fatima International Holy Quran Competition got under way in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, on Sunday, November 12.

75 contestants of different recitation schools - Hafs, Warsh and Qaloon - from around the world are participating in the competition.
