50 Quran Memorization Centers to Open in Jordan

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Jordan's Ministry of Awqaf (endowments) and Islamic Affairs said it plans to launch 50 Quran memorization centers in Karak Province of the Arab country.

According to petra.gov, Heitham Bani Rashid, director of the ministry's endowments office said that the centers aim to help students to make the best use of their summer holidays.

Those willing to attend the Quranic courses of the centers can register starting from next week, he said.

Quran memorization, Tajweed principles and Quran reading are the themes of the courses, which will begin in July.

Some Islamic cultural programs are also planned to be held on the sidelines of the courses in the centers, the official said.

He added that the centers, 25 of which are for boys and the rest for girls, are well equipped and skillful Quran teachers have been selected to teach the courses.

The Quranc courses will be free and continue until late September, he went on to say.
