Preparing for Muharram Mourning Rituals
TEHRAN (IQNA) – A fair is underway in Iran’s southwestern city of Ahvaz featuring items used in mourning rituals in the lunar Hijri month of Muharram.
Shia Muslims in Iran and other countries are making preparations for ceremonies held every year in Muharram to mourn the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS) and his faithful companions in the 680AD Battle of Karbala.
