Al-Safeer Quran Contest Planned in Iraq’s Kufa
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 8th edition of national Quran memorization and recitation titled “Al-Safeer” will be organized at Kufa Mosque, Iraq, later this month.
According to Qaaf news agency, Seyyed Mohammad Majid Al-Mousawi, the custodian of the mosque and the affiliated holy sites, recently discussed the organization of the Quranic event in a meeting with a number of the custodianship’s members.
Seyyed Adel Al-Yaseri, director of the Dar-ol-Quran of the mosque, said that the center has sent invitation letters to the custodianships of the holy shrines and Quranic institutes in different governorates of Iraq to introduce their representatives in the competition.
Also speaking at the meeting, Abdulali Ibrahimi, head of the public relations office of the mosque, said that invitation letters will also be sent to the universities and seminaries of Najaf to participate in the Quranic cultural festival.
