Mourning Ceremony Attended by Leader Marks Martyrdom of Imam Ali (AS)
TEHRAN (IQNA) – A ceremony was held in Tehran this morning to mourn the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali (AS), the first Shia Imam.
Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei attended the ceremony, held at the Imam Khomeini (RA) Husseiniya (Shia congregational hall).
There were also a number of other officials and people from all walks of life.
Eulogist Mehdi Samavati recited eulogies and poems at the event.
Monday, the 21st day of the holy month of Ramadan, marked the anniversary of Imam Ali’s (AS) martyrdom.
