Iranian Qari Recites Quran in India
TEHRAN (IQNA) – A Quran reading session was held in Kargil, India, with the participation of Iranian Qari Masood Movahedirad.
Movahedirad, dispatched to India on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, recited verses from the Holy Quran in the program, held at Al-Zahra (SA) Husseyniyah (Shia congregation hall) in the city.
Hojat-ol- Islam Seyyed Kadhim Saberi, Friday prayers leader of the region, and a large number of people attended the Quranic event.
Addressing the program, the cleric welcomed the Iranian Quran reciter and described the presence of Iranian Qaris at different ceremonies and Quran competitions in India as a blessing.
He added that Iranian Quran reciters are a source of pride for Shia Muslims.
Movahedirad’s recitation at the program was warmly received by the audience.
