100 students from 40 top-tier universities in the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) took part in the conference in Mashhad, which has been named by the OIC as the cultural capital of the Islamic world in 2017.
It was modeled on the ministerial meeting of the OIC Member States with an aim to train Muslim scholars for political and cultural consultations and increase their political knowledge.
The participants received high-end training in critical tools of understanding and further promoting knowledge-based approach to contemporary international affairs.
Workshops and practical panels were also held on the sidelines of the event.
