Programs in Qom to Mark Imam Reza (AS) Birthday

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The holy shrine of Hazrat Masoumeh (SA) in Qom will host special programs on Saturday night and Sunday to celebrate the birthday anniversary of Imam Reza (AS), the eighth Shia Imam.

The programs will include eulogy recitations, speeches and recitation of supplications.

The birth anniversaries of Hazrat Masoumeh (SA) and Imam Reza (AS), the daughter and son of the 7th Shia Imam, mark the Karamat festival.

Thursday, July 4, was the first day of the lunar Hijri month of Dhul Qaada, which marks the birthday anniversary of Hazrat Masoumeh (SA).

Imam Reza (AS) birthday anniversary will be celebrated on the 11th day of Dhul Qaada, which falls on Sunday, July 14, this year.
