TEHRAN (IQNA) – Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf condemned the recent deal reached by the United Arab Emirates and the Zionist regime for normalization of ties.

In a tweet on Friday, Qalibaf described the UAE’s move as a “humiliating concession that is betrayal of human values, the Islamic Ummah and the cause of Palestine.

He added, however, that the struggle against the occupying regime will continue.

A much-condemned deal was recently signed between Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The deal was announced on Thursday.

US President Donald Trump, who apparently helped broker the deal, has attempted to paint it as a big breakthrough.

The UAE is now the third Arab country, after Egypt and Jordan, to normalize with Israel. Abu Dhabi was already believed to have clandestine relations with Tel Aviv.
