VIDEO: Recitation of Verses from Surah Al-Anbiya by Bangladeshi Qari Najmus Saqib

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Najmus Saqib is a Bangladeshi qari whose Quran recitations are popular in his country and elsewhere.

He has also been successful in Quran competitions.

In 2013 he was awarded 80,000 Saudi riyals by the Imam of Masjid al-Haram in Mecca, after winning the first place in the recitation category of an international Quran competition.

The following footage features his recitation of verses 51 to 57 of Surah Al-Anbiya, the 21st chapter of the Holy Quran:

“Before this We gave Abraham his virtue, for We knew him. He said to his father and to his nation: 'What, are these the statues to which you cling? 'They replied: 'We found our fathers worshipping them.' He said: 'Truly, you and your fathers are in clear error.' They said: 'Is it the truth you have brought us, or are you one of those that play?' 'No,' he answered, 'your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, the Originator of them, and I am among those bearing witness to it.' By Allah, I will certainly outwit your idols as soon as you have turned your backs and gone.'”
