Representatives of 18 Countries to Attend Int'l Section of Quran Exhibit

The international section of the Quran exhibition will be inaugurated on Saturday, July 5.

 Representatives of 18 countries will be attending the opening ceremony of the section, director of the section told the expo's press center.

Mehrdad Agahi said the opening function will also be attended by Abuzar Ebrahimi Torkaman, head of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, and Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Reza Heshmati, Quran and Etrat deputy of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.
He said artworks by foreign artists will be put on display at the section and scholars from several countries will take part in four forums planned to be held at the exhibit.
According to Mr. Agahi, artists from Russia, Kuwait, Croatia, Tunisia, Syria, Lebanon, Pakistan, Spain, India, Algeria, and Turkey will be present at the exhibition while the scholars invited to the expo are from Pakistan, Malaysia, Russia, Uganda, Tanzania, Tunisia and Syria.
The 22nd edition of Tehran International Holy Quran Exhibition was inaugurated in the Holy Defense Garden-Museum on Tuesday, June 24.
Several sections including children, academics, international and digital media have been arranged during the exhibit.
