Quran Sessions for Children Underway in Qatar

A series of Quran sessions are underway for children in Qatar organzied by the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development.

According to Al-Sharq newspaper, the Social Services Section of the foundation has organized 10 Quran sessions for children between 6 to 10 years of age.

Al-Khour Hall of the Social Club in Al-Madinah Al-Ta’limah in Qatar is hosting the Quran sessions on Sundays and Mondays weekly.

Helping the particpants to learn to read and write the Holy Quran’s verses and explaining the noble Quranic teachings and concepts are the main objectives of the sessions.

Faisal Al-Dosari, an official with the foundation said that the organizers of the sessions also aim to .encourage the children to learn the principles of Islam

The official added that the social section of the foundation is tasked with promoting Islamic values in the society.
