Dhi Qar University Comes 1st in Iraqi Universities’ Quran Competition
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Students from Dhi Qar University won the first title in the 2nd national Quran recitation competition for Iraqi university students.
According to al-Iraq.net, the Grand Mosque in Kufa hosted the Quranic event that was attended by representatives from 20 universities from different provinces of the country.
The Shias Awqaf (endowment) Department also cooperated in organizing the national competition.
It was held in Kufa to host the 14th century after the selection of the city as the capital of the Muslim government by Imam Ali (AS).
A number of religious and academic scholars and those interested in Quranic activities took part in the closing ceremony of the contest.
