Quran Reading Sessions Underway in Najaf

TEHRAN (IQNA) - The Dar-ol-Quran Center of Imam Ali’s (AS) holy shrine has organized a series of Quran reading sessions on the occasion of the blessed month of Rajab.

 According to the website of the Alawi Astan (custodianship), the sessions have been underway at the courtyard of the holy shrine since the 13th of Rajab (May 2), the birthday anniversary of Imam Ali (AS).

They are attended by Quran reciters from Quranic centers, institutes and associations in different parts of the country.

The fifth night of the program hosted top Quran reciters from the Holy Quran Teaching Center affiliated to the Astan of Hazrat Abbas (AS), the Holy Quran Center affiliated to the Astan of Hazrat Qasem ibn al-Hassan (AS) and Nusrat-ul-Quran Al-Karim Institute in Baghdad.

On May 11, the program was attended by an eminent Quran reciter from Salahuddin Province and Qaris of the Holy Quran Sciences National Center affiliated to the Iraqi Shias’ Awqaf Department and those of Imam Hadi (AS) Dar-ol-Quran.

The Quranic programs will continue until the 17th day of the month (May 16), when Muslims celebrate the Mab'ath Day, the day for the public announcement of Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) Prophetic Mission.
