Quran Recitation in Sign Language in Turkey
According to Anadolu Agency, the participants in the program, held by the Dar-ul-Ifta center of the city, managed to read the entire Quran in sign language.
Adam Gulmak, the mufti of the city thanked the Quran teachers of the region and highlighted their important role of in encouraging the women to attend the Quranic program.
He said the participants’ success to read the entire Quran in sign language proves that with determination and practice one can surmount all obstacles.
He added that those with physical impairments should also have the opportunity to learn the Quran and religious sciences.
Therefore, he said, the organizers of the sessions plan to hold Quran reading in braille for the blind and visually impaired as well.
