The five-strong delegation includes four Qaris and a Quran teacher, according to the secretariat of the Committee for Inviting and Dispatching Quran Reciters.

Quran teacher Mohammad Ali Dousti and Quran reciters Mehdi Tajvar, Ebrahim Ammarlou, Morteza Shakouri, and Jafar Malekpour have attended several Quranic programs in the Arab country.

Recitation of Quran in mosques and schools and the holy shrine of Hazrat Zeynab (SA) were among the programs held with the participation of the Qaris.

The delegation also has held Quranic workshops and visited Quranic schools in cities like Damascus, Aleppo, Latakia, Homs and Idlib.

Every year during Ramadan, Quran reciters and Tawasheeh groups are sent from Iran to different countries to hold Quranic and religious programs for Muslim worshippers.

Ramadan, the ninth month in the Islamic Hijri calendar, is known as the month of Quran during which Muslims devote a considerable amount of time during this month to reading and contemplating the Quran.
