In a message posted on his Instagram page, Dehqan said he has done his best to prepare for the Quranic event.
He hoped that he will have a good performance in the competition.
Dehqan, along with Quran expert Seyed Javad Sadat Fatemi, left Tehran for Kuala Lumpur on Friday.
Sadat Fatemi will be accompanying him in the contest as a guide.
The 60th edition of Malaysia international Quran competition will begin in Kuala Lumpur on Monday.
Hamed Alizadeh from Iran ranked first in the 59th edition of the competition in 2017.
Also, two years earlier, Iranian Qari Mohsen Hajihassni Kargar came first in the contest.
