Head of Iranian parliament's Center for Islamic Studies described Takfiri extremists as a real threat to the Muslim world.

Addressing the World Islamic Scholars, Peace, Moderation and Commonsense Initiative conference in Istanbul, Hojat-ol-Islam Ahmad Moballeghi underlined the need for Muslim scholars to fully boycott Takfiris.
He said all institutions and organizations that care about Islamic unity should join forces against extremism.
Hojat-ol-Islam Moballeghi added that interaction among Iran, Iraq, Turkey and Egypt is necessary (to confront the issue).
He went on to say that Iran's Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, Turkey's Directorate of Religious Affairs (Diyanet), Egypt's al-Azhar Islamic Center and Iraq's Sunni and Shia institutions that care for Islamic proximity ought to work together against extremism.
The Istanbul conference hosted prominent Islamic figures from 32 different countries from July 17 to July 19.
