According to the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, the Quran copy was unveiled in a ceremony held with the participation of a number of scholars, intellectuals, academic figures and parliament members of the country.
Addressing the program, Mubarez Ghorbanli, the head of the committee, said that the publication of the Divine Book in Braille aimed to meet the needs of Azeri speakers with visual impairments.
Also speaking in the program, Wasim Muhammadaliev, the dean of the Theology Faculty of Baku State University, thanked the committee for publishing the Quran in Braille.
Three members of Azerbaijan parliament, deputy of Caucasian Muslims Office and representative of the visually impaired in Azerbaijan were other speakers in the ceremony.
Seyyed Ebrahim Ebrahimi Nayid, the Iranian cultural attaché, and a Turkish official in Azerbaijan were the honorary guests of the program.
The Iranian official expressed the willingness of the cultural center to cooperate and exchange experiences in the publication and translation of written works in Braille.
