Addressing the opening ceremony of the competition’s 6th edition on Friday, Hamid Reza Tayyebi said it can also be a venue for scholarly, scientific and technological interactions.
He further underlined the Islamic Republic of Iran’s advances in the field of science of technology and said Iran is among the leading countries in such fields as stem cell research, medicine, and petro chemistry.
Elsewhere, the ACECR chief noted that the competition’s final round will be recorded and later broadcast in four languages.
Concluding his address, Tayyebi thanked all of the organizations and bodies that have contributed to holding the competition.
The final round of the international Quranic event will be underway in the northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad until Sunday.
