Two Iraqi Qaris Make It to Iran Int’l Quran Competition Finals

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Two Quran reciters from Iraq managed to qualify for the final round of Iran’s 38th International Quran Competition.

Yaas Fadhl and Danial Kareem Ghazban will compete in the final stage of the main competition and the one for school students, respectively.

Also, Iraqi Quran memorizer Zahra Abdul Jabbar will compete in Iran’s international Quran competition for women.

The preliminary stage of the 38th Iran International Quran Contest in the recitation and memorization categories was held online.

A total of 190 contenders from 69 countries showcased their Quranic talents in this stage, which ended on January 15.

The final will be organized in March, concurrent with Eid al-Mab’ath (day of selection of Prophet Muhammad by God for the guidance).  

Iran’s Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization annually organizes the international Quranic event with the participation of Quran activists from various countries.

Quran memorizers and reciters from 67 countries took part in the final round of the 37th edition of the contest, which was held on March 6-11, 2021.
