The five memorizers who were honored at the ceremony had come first to fifth in a nationwide Quran competition for visually-impaired girls and women.
The competition was held by Umm al-Banin University, affiliated to the Astan.
A number of the Astan’s officials, including Hojat-ol-Islam Sayyed Ahmed al-Safi, the custodian of the holy shrine of Hazrat Abbas (AS), were present at the ceremony.
In an address, he congratulated the Quran memorizers for their success and said everyone who is devoted to the Quran and Etrat is a winner.
The five top winners were from Baghdad, Diyala, and Basra governorates.
