Sheikh Davoud Jakti, the center’s representative in Mali, said the Noor Mosque in the capital Bamako was among the places where the Quranic circles were held.
He said they were received warmly by the followers of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) in the African country.
He added that as well as recitation of the Quran, speeches were delivered at the programs about the concept of Islamic unity as well as the Seera of Imam Jafar Sadiq (AS).
“We are keen to use such programs and circles on such auspicious occasions to promote knowledge about different aspects of the Seerah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH),” Sheikh Jakti stated.
Mali is a West African country the majority of whose population is Muslim.
The 17th day of the lunar Hijri month of Rabi al-Awwal, which fell on October 13 this year, marked the birth anniversaries of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Imam Jafar Sadiq (AS).
