Film on Rituals of Umrah Launched

MECCA (IQNA) – A film “The Rituals of Umrah,” translated into five languages: English, French, Urdu, Persian, and Malay, was launched on Saturday.

Head of the Presidency for the Two Holy Mosques Sheikh Abdulrahman Al-Sudais launched the film in Mecca.

The educational film aims to shed light on the Islamic rituals of Umrah according to Islamic Shariah, following in the footsteps of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Al-Sudais said.

He praised the role of the presidency’s communications and media staff in producing and directing the film in cooperation with the translation department.

Umrah is a pilgrimage to Mecca which Muslims can traditionally take at any time of the year, unlike Hajj pilgrimage that can be performed only in the first days of the lunar Hijri month of Dhul Hajja.
