WASHINGTON, DC (IQNA) – Muslims in Nashville are inviting people of all faiths and backgrounds to visit two mosques and learn more about Islam and its followers.

The Islamic Center of Williamson County and the Al-Farooq Islamic Center are holding open houses on Saturday and Sunday at 10:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. respectively, the Tennessee Tribune reported.

The open houses are part of the annual "Meet Your Muslim Neighbor" initiative, which aims to foster dialogue, understanding, and friendship between Muslims and non-Muslims in the city.

The event is free and open to the public, and will feature tours of the mosques, presentations on Islam, Q&A sessions, cultural displays, and refreshments.

The organizers hope that the open houses will help dispel some of the misconceptions and stereotypes about Islam and Muslims that are often spread by the media and politicians.

The event comes amid a growing trend of anti-Muslim hatred in the US in the wake of an ongoing war between Palestinians in Gaza and the Israeli regime.
